20SB BLOG SWAP

Everyone say hello to Erica aka Ms. Salti. I’m taking a break from the awesome line-up of guest bloggers to participate in the 20SB’s Blog Swap. I’ve done it a couple times before, but I think I’m most excited about my swap partner this time because we’re obviously destined to be BFFs. Enjoy her post and when you’re done here, check out her blog to read my post! Happy reading!

My name is Ms. Salti (Erica, if we’re good friends) and I’d like everyone to know that I’m having a crappy week (and also extremely random, so please bear with me)! I wasn’t exactly sure what I was going to write about for my guest post today, but as soon as I got to work, I realized my subject.

I forgot my effing phone today! Not just my cell phone, but my CrackBerry. I never wanted to become one of those people who is addicted to technology… but I think it’s a bit too late for that. And it’s not like I forgot the phone entirely. I didn’t leave it plugged in and charging. I didn’t throw it into the Black Hole that is my purse. I simply left it sitting on the top of a pile of blankets that I had removed from my bed this morning after searching for the little bastard that has got to be hiding in my bed that bit my ankle 4 MORE TIMES LAST NIGHT!

Let me explain? I changed my sheets two days ago and woke up yesterday with two extremely itchy bug bites on my left foot. Now, let’s rewind for just a second. I got (what I thought were) two mosquito bites on my foot on Friday night, but they weren’t too itchy, so not a big deal. When I woke up yesterday it felt like they’d be re-bitten or something. They itch like you wouldn’t believe! I put some cortisone on them and went to bed last night, only to wake up this morning with four more bites in an exactly diagonal line up the outside of my ankle. So what did I do? I ripped the sheets and blankets and pillows off my bed in search of the little bastard this morning. Did I find him? Of course not! Technically, I don’t even know what I’m looking for… A mosquito? A spider? Some really random bug with itch-inducing venom? Maybe it’s the scary bastard from Torrey that followed me home? Why can’t I just be bitten by a vampire, instead?

So now I sit here at my desk with a foot that itches like hell and will probably end up bleeding by the end of the day because I won’t be able to stop scratching it… and I still have no CrackBerry. I guess I’m going to have to drive home to get my phone because I obviously can’t make it through the day without it! If I make it to 5 o’clock, it’s going to be a miracle!
